too much stress on 22re with 38s

hi i just registered onto this website and i have a 85 4runner(see signature) with the 22re and i was wondering if i could turn 38s without too much stress on the engine? i have 5.71 gears, any help would be fine, thanks

ya you should be fine. you wont win any races, but it wont be terribly slow

ha thanks about how high do you think i would top out i wont be taking it on trips much more than just around my town

auto or 5 spd? i wouldnt say much more than 85-95. Dont think you want to be going that fast anyways.

X2.. power is not going to be your issue. That size tire will destroy a stock birf in seconds if you plan to wheel it at all. If your just a mall crawler then go for it. Have you already tubbed your firewall to clearance a 38?
