Best place to buy new front bumper?? 3rd gen 4runner.

Hi All,

I had a minor fender bender and want to replace the parts myself. I need a front bumper, right front bumper bracket, and the plastic shroud that fits below the bumper. Anybody have these that they want to get rid of or know a place to get them cheap? I don't need OEM, but I want to keep the truck looking stock.

Thanks!

Look up Car Parts Wholesale, either on eBay or Google. The parts are unfortuently made in China, but, are very cheap. I've bought from them with good results. Cheap cheap for sure. Most likely any part will be made in China though... Doh!

They are undoubtedly cheap, but not noticeably aftermarket unless you lok real close and know what your looking for.

You can also keep searching your local craigsist, call your local salvage yards, and look through the YT classifieds. Those parts should be easy to find used..especially for a '96-'98.

Like everyone before said the plastic shroud and bumper you can find in most online sites--- "However Get the Bracket From Toyota!!!" Trust me. I replaced the front bumper on my 2000 4Runner and my Dad's 94' Pickup, none of the brackets fit and they were all aftermarket. I bought a new set of Toyota OEM and they fit perfect. They are a little bit more but it's worth avoiding hours of grinding and drilling.

x2 on the Yotatech Classifieds. I found a fellow YT member (or he may have found me) that upgraded to a TJM after market bumper. We have the exact same truck (02 4runner SE) in the same color, so all I had to do was swap them out. No painting....painless. The bumper install is very easy, and can be done by one person but probably better with an extra set of hands. The hardest part is getting your gaps spaced evenly, other than that its a breeze.

Post a WTB on the classified forum so that other's know you what you are looking for, while you search around.

Good luck!

Chris
