Need a real cupholder

So does anyone have any ideas on how to have a cup holder that can hold todays size cups in a first gen 5 speed 4Runner? Ive seen aftermarket bolt/screw in cup holders but they cover the buttons for rear window and rear window wiper.

Get a sheet of acrylic, lexan, plastic, whatever, use a hole saw and make a couple of holes, and replace the 'arm rest' lid with it. voila! DIY cup holders.
My 89 celica's got something like that under the storage compartment lid and it flips up just like the padded lid does.

Awesome idea. The lid of my armrest is all torn up anyway, so that will actually be an improvement! lol

You can also get one of those adjustable drinkholders that is made to either slide into an existing cupholder or clamp on to an edge. Adjust the clamp part to the right width and jam it into the little pocket in front of the rear window buttons. You will only have some interference when you put in reverse.

Hmmm... I'll have to look into this. Im worried about elbow room. Dont wnt to whack a full cup and dowse the back seat area.

this really is a serious issue in our trucks, the stock cup holders splash all over your deck when wheelin, its lametown. If i had to complain about one thing on my rig that would be it. ......really there isnt anythign else tho lol. anyone got pics of their setups?

Also, the "clutter catcher" at Walmart supposedly fits between the seats easily. Somebody just did a post on this a few weeks ago.

The clutter catcher is great. It fit perfectly between the two bucket seats I put in. I'll snap a pic or two later. It's got 4 cupholders to boot.

Here's a picture of my "Clutter Catcher " from Walmart. There are two deep cupholers in front and two in the rear.

Well my 4Runner has NO CUPHOLDERS!! And if I replaced my center console with another I would have to move my switches for back window and wiper. I dont have a place to put an open soda can.
