Guys,

I work near Longo Toyota, the largest Toyota dealership here in the US. I call them first and then call partznet.com, my favorite online parts supplier. I needed some new headliner fasteners (4 new ones but got 6 "just in case") as well as a new grab handle so I called both and here was the prices:

Longo:
Headliner fastener plugs: $3.76 x 6 = $22.56
Grab handle: $20.52
Screws : $0.53 x 2 = $1.06
Total = $44.14

Partznet
Headliner fastener plugs: $0.70 x 6 = $4.20
Grab handle: $20.44
Screws : $0.52 x 2 = $1.04
Shipping: $6.26
Total = $31.94

Savings = $12.20

What really gets me is that this guy was raping me on those headliner plugs. Now don't get me wrong, Longo is an outstanding dealership, esp in their sales and service depts. But as you can see, price comparision is definitely worth the phone call.
