Rebuilt Steering Gearbox leaking @free play nut!

I just installed a rebuilt cardone gearbox. New lines and all. It started to leak where the freeplay nut is located. Has anybody encountered this problem with a new unit. Should I just tighten the thing down. This is on a 91 22re reg cab. Thanks for your help.

Tighten it down, maybe the jam nut is loose. I once had a pump from AllPro that did that, just snugged up the jam nut (plus I think I put in a new sealing washer) and it was fine.

Thanks bud

That was it! I tightened the nut and adjusted the free play, It all good. I guess I should never overlook the obvious. Thanks for the quick response.
