SS #1.2 lift installed (pics)
Alright, so the Sonoran Steel OEM lift kit is one of the nicest packages I have ever seen. The install went smoothly, considering my background. The factory rear shocks were somewhat difficult to get off until Steve gave me some pointers. Ends up it is easiest to just crush it and twist it off. All in all, two of my buddies helped out and it ended up taking about 8 hours, counting beer breaks. I also ended up going with new BFG A/T KO 285/75's. I have a little less than an inch separating the tire from the A-arm and after taking off the front mud flaps, I don't think I will have any rubbing problems.
In the past month, my truck has transformed from pretty much stock to exactly how I want it. I did research and read posts for about a year before pulling the trigger and now I am ready for summertime in Colorado! Thanks for all of your input and stories.

Day I bought her:
With TJM-17 front bumper, custom Armorology rear bumper and Trail Gear sliders:
After install of SS1.2 kit, with 265/70 donuts:
As she sits now, with Sonoran Steel 1.2 OEM lift and new BFG A/T KO 285/75's:

CAN'T WAIT! I'm heading out this weekend to see what kind of trouble I can get into.
As for the skids..... Budbuilts will be here on Thursday. I didn't even bother trying to put the old ones back on after the lift.

Thanks for the compliments. I ended up getting it from Steve at Sonoran Steel. If you don't know him, he is really a solid guy. Always a wealth of information and backs his products like no others. No matter where you end up buying it, they will all be shipped from the TJM factory in TN. I think shipping was fairly reasonable. Give him a shout....
. Any plans for a winch or aux lights?

nice shots thanks for posting them up. I am considering Sonoran as well and agree Steve over there is so helpful. You mentioned removal of the stock mud flaps and I am picturing that you are getting some interference with the new tires under compression or when making sharp turns.
I intend to stick with the LT265/75/16s and wonder if you feel those would present rubbing issues? Nitto Terra Grapplers(right around a 32" diameter)are what I am running. I want to stay with the stock mudflaps up front.

ya i realized that after i took another look at the thread....and i dont even have a hitch on right now, my truck would look like a damn stinkbug....man i really want some LC's tho
