Not at the moment. As you probably know, one must let the bank account heal quite a bit before the next endeavor. I have plenty to play with at the moment.

Thanks for the comment!

nice shots thanks for posting them up. I am considering Sonoran as well and agree Steve over there is so helpful. You mentioned removal of the stock mud flaps and I am picturing that you are getting some interference with the new tires under compression or when making sharp turns.

I intend to stick with the LT265/75/16s and wonder if you feel those would present rubbing issues? Nitto Terra Grapplers(right around a 32" diameter)are what I am running. I want to stay with the stock mudflaps up front.[/quote]

Great to hear that you are considering the SS lift. I highly recommend it! As for the tires, the 265/75's won't be a problem, but if you do indeed lift you will definately want the larger 285's. They make a huge difference in overall look and stance. You will probably regret smaller tires if you go that route.

Good luck, post some pics when you get it all done!

Yeah, Steve at SS recommends that you have either a trailer hitch or custom bumper and sliders to keep your rear end down. Even with both bumper and sliders, it sits slightly higher in the rear. I expect about an inch of settling on the Land Cruiser coils though.

It's about 40inches from ground to top of wheel well in the back and about 37inches in the front......

So, go SS#7 OR get yourself a nice bumper!

Yeah I had heard that -until I bought them I truly thought they would not rub, but apparently I do not have the tall 99 springs. I do have the rear sag and have been hauling rock over the last couple of weeks-which likely has not helped it out too much.

You favor the 285s just to fill out the wheel well or for other reasons?

Looks nice, one of my co workers just lifted his Tacoma and now may be able to have it bought back by Toyota on the frame rust issue. what a world....

Looking good, man. Actually, with the exception of "5 speed" your sig looks almost identical to mine!

Time to put it all to the test... enjoy.

Yo man I understand, I don't how to lift it more than an inch up front. I don't know how to force that a-arm low enough without damaging the cv boot. I understand you have to disconnect the top sway bar nut and it helps to have a diff drop in but still. I guess I'm just afraid to keep cranking.

To push the a-arm down though, use the stock bottle jack, turn it upside down in the wheel well and start cranking. Make sure its secure though, the "piston" (sorry if thats the wrong term) on the jack tends to slip off that a-arm easily so if you put the head of the "piston" on the top bolt for your upper ball joint, it sticks good.

Back on topic though, I was curious how you liked the ride of the new system. I've heard its night and day difference between stock...? I currently run the HD Bilsteins all around and it seems really stiff and bumpy, hopefully those new 5100 series shocks are better? I'm thinking about upgrading and just getting a SS system but I don't know if there would be enough difference to constitute the cost!

Truck looks real good, you'll have to keep us posted on how some of the wheeling trips turn out! That is......take pictures!!

I gave Steve a call at SS and he recommended that i perform the same task. pretty clever. i will give that a shot, and see how it works out. thanks for your advice!
