I just bought a 95 pickup 3.0 extended cab, 200miles but in great shape. My question, it runs at 2600 rpm @ 100km/h while my 4runner runs at 3000 rpm@ 100km/h. When I check the axel codes the are the same g254 or 4.556 on both? is my t-case gear different? or is it my tranny? they are both 5 speeds with 31x10.5 15 .

 

I checked the tranny code and both are R150Fs, I can't find the t-case code on the truck. Does any one know whether there were differnent gears sets for the r150f, mabye a taller 5th? where is the t-case id located? I want to know for future parts truck considerations.

The axle codes are probably wrong on the pickup. They often are. Probably have 4.10's in the pickup.

 

I checked the axels by rotation and they are 4.56 in both and 4th is the same in both bt fifth is a little taller in the pickup, thanks for the help.
