my brake lights light up as if my brakes were fully engaged and they even light up all the way when my brake switch is unplugged?

did you make sure your brake fluid reservoir is full all the way? that will cause the brake light to come on

get under the brake pedal and feel upwards, theres a brake sensor. $10 part from autozone, or however much from the dealer or online.
