Does anyone know if this is the 3rz's Intake Silencer? its a hollow box that sits below my intake tube, i took it off and started it up with a shirt over the hole and nothing seemed to change. Just wondering

Stands to reason that it is. You wont notice the difference at idle, but it should be more pronounced up at 4k and above. Probably silences a particular set of frequencies at a particular rpm range.

 

Probably is like previous poster noted you won't notice it at idle you... you do hear it when you let off the throttle though... it will sound a little like a jake brake kicking in, kind of cool IMO...
