its either a 2.4 or 2.7 any easy way to figure that out?

 

Most likely you have the 2.7l under your hood. There should be a sticker under there that will say what kind it is.

 

I don't know of a 2.4L in a Tacoma.

2.7L or a 3.4L

 

they definitely make a 2.4 and a 2.7

 

If it's a 4x4 or prerunner it's a 2.7L. if it's a standard 2WD it's a 2.4L.

 

The 2.4 is the precursor to the '95.5 and up 2.7L. 2.7 is found only in Taco's...at least here in Canada whereas the 2.4 22RE is found in the straight-up mini trucks pre '95.

its a 2wd prerunner....

 

by the looks of your picture you have 6lugs which means 3rz = 2.7

only the 5lug mini tacos come with the 2rz=2.4

but this has been stated above

 

2.7L. You can confirm this by checking on the firewall and it should say 3RZ-FE.
