Trade my dirtbike for a 88 runner?
Hey everyone. For a while now, ive been trying to sell my 1995 Kawasaki KX125, and recently somebody offered up a trade...a 1988 toyota 4runner. All i know is that it is black, 4x4, 5spd, 22re, and has 150,000. It seems to be in pretty good condition. I know the 4runner exists because i got an address and drove by, but today im gonna go and get a better look. Anybody think this is a good deal? lol

I'd do it if it isn't a ball of rust. I'd check the frame and look for rust showing through on the body. Also, check to be sure that the engine is in good running order. The 22R-E is an awesome engine, but they still tend to have timing chain problems. A little valve tick is for the most part normal. I've never been able to get mine to stop. Other than that, they are awesome trucks, and it'll be lots of fun in the summer.

do you still have another bike to ride? or plan to get a new one down the road. only reason i didnt wanna get a 4runner, was because even with the top off, youd have to take the roll bar out to stuff a bike in the back.
