exhaust gasket?

is there suppose to be a gasket that goes from the back of the exhaust manifold to the hot air tube that runs behind the engine?

I don't think there is. You mean where the tube bolts to the exhaust manifold using the exhaust manifold studs?

yeah, the studs that are pointing towards the firewall and are kind of a pain to get to. how does it seal? is it like a cup and ball type joint?

Ah ok you're talking about the connection boxed in red. I was talking about the connections boxed in blue. The connection boxed in red does use a gasket.

yep, the one in red. anyone know what that gasket is called? mines gone, or was never installed with the new engine.

It's just one of those graphite gaskets. If you take that picture to the dealer they will probably be able to help you.

I think I have those if you want 'em - the expensive thick versions - I'm thinking remtech, but that's not right...
