ok i have a question a what year and what coils do i need is it from the front or rear of a landcruiser

Im planning on doin the same lift. And its the front Land Cruiser Coils that you use, and its like 91-97 or 93-97. I dont remember, but its in there!

What year do you have? 3rd Gens use the Land Cruiser Front Coils, but 2nd Gens im not sure?

You have a third gen? Cuz then the post is correct, if not, then I have no idea lol

 

thrid gen runner wants front cuiser coils from same generation. second gen runner wants rear coils.

Yup.

Careful they are super flexy. Not something I'd recommend on a Daily Driver.
Or at least learn to Drive slow, not change lanes fast, slow down on On/off ramps

You will need longer Brake Lines, Ditch the LSVP in the rear, and longer shocks. Plus something to lift the front SDORI Ball Joint spacers, with Major T-Bar Crank And I still have Rake

You need to remove the LSPV (Load sense prop valve) Its attached to the rear axle and detects when you have weight in the rear (IE carring a load) and applies more brake pressure to the rear drum. DITCH it and add a manual prop valve to the front master. or you will have no rear brake pressure,

edit some people have added a bracket lifting the prop valve up the same height as the Lift (I had no luck and very spongie brake pedal)

No modification required to fit the coils (They drop right in) You will need longer shocks and a
a drop bracket or lift bracket for the rear pan hard bar.

 

How hard is it to replace the LSPV (Load sense prop valve)

Yea, im struggling to find some too! I can get the rear coils off a fj80 for a $100. Sound right? or should i just pay $40 more and buy new ome ones? Thanks,

 

that sounds pretty reasonable... be clear if you have a 95.5 or newer you need the fronts(they are narrower) and if you have a 2nd gen like me, you need the rears. I made that mistake it sucked .


if you buy the ome ones make sure they arent lift coils for the fj or you will have more like a 6 inch lift instead of a 3-4 inch lift.

 

Okay good advice. Its a 1990 4runner that i have. I already ordered a front 4" lift by trailmaster used from some wrecking yard. So next paycheck i will order some coils i think its off a 94 but im not too sure, and the panhard drop bracket or whatever that is called, and remount that LSPV or buy a different one. ANd longer shocks.
