Anyone defeated their ADD system?

Just wondering who had defeated their ADD system. What will be different when in 2wd with the ADD defeated without manual hubs? Will the front drive shaft turn or something with the 4wd permanately locked? Why wouldn't the cars with ADD come like this from the factory? Thanks for the help.

ADD affects the "differential".

Your transfer case affects the front drive shaft.

With manual hubs, the front CVs / axle shafts do not turn when dissengaged.

With ADD the front CVs / axle shafts do turn all the time, but the differential is "disconnected" (Automatic Differential Disconnect...or something like that).
