31x11.5 Super Swamper LTB's vs 33x12.5 Mud Kings

So I acquired a new to me 93 reg cab 4x4 Toyota about a month ago and have been reading a ton of usefull info on this site.

I've currently got no lift but am looking for more (much more) aggressive mud tires.

In my local swap and sell there are 2 sets I'm interested in.

The 31 by 11.5 LTB's

And a set of 33 by 12.5 mud kings.

I'm leaning toward the LTB's but am concerned about it still being somewhat pleasant to drive on the road around town and such. Anyone have experience with either of these tires?

Pics of my "new" truck because everyone loves pics.

The day I bought it.

After I removed the graphics and through on some seriously crappy 31's I had laying around.

any and all help appreciated.

Bias ply tires SUCK on the road. Really. You don't realize how spoiled you are by radials.

The big factor for me is the extra full inch of ground clearance you're gonna get with the 33's - that's what I would go for. Might take some beating and trimming, maybe a small bodylift, but nothing big.

I'm a little scared of getting 33's and possibly having to re-gear and all that.

Thanks for the heads up on the bias ply's though. I never thought of that.

How much highway (65mph+) driving do you do? Thats where the 33's with stock gears are gonna kill you. Other than that, you can live without em for a while. Depending on wide you wheels are, I'd go with the mud kings. You're gonna a much worse on-road driving experience with 31" LTBS than you are with a set of 33" radials and too shallow of a gear.

get the LTB's...i plan on getting the 33"13.50" LTB's whenever i get the money..i have 31''10.50" TSL's right now...they arent bad on the road...but i have never driven my truck with radials so idk...with the 31's u wont have to regear....and they will be WAYYYY!!!!!! better than those mud kings in the mud and what not...i have made it through stuff with my TSL's in 2wd that a ford F-150 had to go through in 4wd..he has a 4in lift and 33x12.50 maxxis mudders..which are supposed to be really good....but i was surprised my lil yota made it through in 2wd!...but it did!..and i will NEVER put a different set of tires on my yota ever...ALWAYS gonna stay with SWAMPERS!

I don't do any highway driving at all. 55-60 is the fastest I go.

The yota isn't my only vehicle. I've got a Saab that I drive as well.
