Coleman Cargo Basket Mounting

Coleman Cargo Basket Mounting
I have a 1995 4runner and I got my Coleman cargo basket a few days ago. I really do like the rack, but I donot like the hight of it. When sitting it on my racks, it looks really to high to me.
My question is, do any of you no a way to mount it to the rig without using the factory racks that it mounts to. If there is a way, it would bring it down in hight about 2-3"
Any help please. Also pics would be great if any one has done this.
