Marlin & LCE are stopping the sell of 4runner

I have had two people in particular look at my 4runner, and not buy because of the header, or the transmission. one other guy looked at me when i told him it had a dual row timing chain and said "why would you want that" after i explained it to him he still thought it was a line of BS. the guy that looked at it yesterday, i guess thought i hot rodded it because of the header, and the exhaust. oh well, that is my rant for the day.

You have to remember that alot of people dont share the same passion as us when it comes to these trucks... When you're talking twin stick/twincase you may as well be speaking swaheeley to these types of people that just want a reliable truck... etc etc etc...

What? That's retarded! Don't worry about it, the right buyer just hasn't come along yet. If it makes you feel any better, I was pissed when I saw yours up for sale. After looking for a long while, I finally bought an '88 for $3500, basically factory and in need of paint and wheels. Man, how I would have loved to bought yours for only $100 more.

Haha, some people have no friggin clue. Your best bet would be to use some chrome spray paint and make it all nice and shiny

Good luck with selling the truck.

I just went over to your sale page, and realized you dropped the price another $600. Now I'm REALLY pissed. Here's an idea, I'll bring you my stocker and let you sell it to one of those tards, and I'll bring your truck home!

Just explain to them that Marlin was the reputable company that rebuilt the transmission and that a double row timing chain for 22RE is much stronger than a single row.

people are lazy like me, they hate to search

Not to sound like an ass. But it seems like a lot of young guys seem to put an exhaust and/or small performance gains to make our rides sound better and go a little bit faster. Not saying you drive fast. But some people do get the idea. Just like I wouldn't buy a Honda with a bunch of after market crap attached to it. In this case I would definitely buy it. You get more power, looks, sound, and gas mileage...I think those people are just idiots.

Just don't tell them what kind etc. All they want to hear is new/rebuilt transmission, they don't need to hear the rest of it and it sets off alarms.

I dunno. Sorry for your troubles, but I'd never buy a truck with all that.

I agree with TC. Just say rebuilt. Don't tell them what or by whom. Just set your price, give vague descriptions, and hope for a sucker.

Good luck with the sale.

You do sound like a "Hotrodder" lol. Don't worry the right buyer will come along soon enough.
