Slider questions :help:

I am in the process of welding sliders on my 84/pu, I ordered them from 4X innovations..I have welded before but was questionable about welding to the frame and how much I might have to cut the body if at all for the installation..? I plan on using a stick welder and a 7018 rod 3/32nd's for the first pass then a larger 1/8 but same 7018 for the 2nd and 3rd pass..Anyone see any flaws in this plan or maby suggestions? Thanks
James

i agree. weld plate to frame, sliders to plate, or vice versa.
