2000 4Runner w/ 08 Tacoma wheels/tires
My buddy just bought a 2008 Tacoma and already has the wheels/tires for sale. It's an 08 TRD/4x4. I know the bolt pattern is the same but is there an offset difference between the two?
Does anyone have any pics of a 4Runner w/ Tacoma wheels tires?

These are from a 06 Tacoma Sport 4X4. The backspacing was a little different from the original wheels but not really noticeable. Here are some pics. If you want another picture to focus on the backspacing let me know.

rearview - Just remember that those 4Runners above do not have fender flares--you've got them. Hence, the wheels will look like it's pushed in further into the body. I don't think it will look bad, but personally, I would not do it.
Also, for $500, that's not a great deal. Plenty of FJC, Tundra, Sequioa rims + tires I see are in the $400 - $600 range. I know places like Discount or Les Schwab will only give them about $300 for the wheels & tires when trading in for new rims.

I'll play
Tacoma TRD wheels on my 98 Limited:

After spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers:

The last picture isn't the greatest but I think it shows that the spacers helped. I hated the offset before the spacers, but I love the spacers and the wheels now.

This is the link to my plans:

I am planning on getting FJ Rear Coils for the rear.
Please let me know what size lift you have on your truck and also what tire size you are running. If you know off hand the backspacing on the wheels, please let me know. Thanks! I highly appreciate it!

The center caps hit the cone nuts and center hub cover. I guess the ADD Hubs (Automatic Disconnecting Differntial) on the 89 -95 is different from the 96 and newer models. If you know any different, please let me know! I'll give it another go!

I was just wondering if the center cap can be modified to accomodate the ADD (attention deficit disorder? haha) but looking at it closer, it doesn't appear that even IF the center cab can be modified, the clearance is so tight that it wouldn't attach anywho. I'd like to go to town with a dremel and a good imagination but to find a volunteer may be difficult. "Hey, can I cut your center caps up and well, if I mess up, too damn bad."

I would volunteer my front caps, but I'm a pack rat and will hold on to them for a while. Hey, get some off of ebay and go to town with a dremel. You will be the first Yotatech to accomplish this fete!
After reading this article:

The hub problem will not be a problem for long. I plan on tackling the ADD problem by replacing the hubs.
The cheapiest, but not the prettiest option is to get some hub covers from Pep Boys for 15 bucks.

thats not a great deal, they sell 24/7 on craigslist for about that. from my experience, the original off road tires from toyota only last about 15k-25k.
