My buddy had a couple twelves and a few amps laying around. Said i could have them. and he would install them.


I just had to buy a box and the wiring kit.


Anyways.


The sub is a cheapo sub... the brand is "hollywood"

Don't know a damn thing about the box. Went to the car audio store and bought one and a wiring kit.


Kenwood KCD-M335 deck, and a kenwood amp. Don't know the model, but it is apparently a very high-end kenwood.


Sounds GREAT.

Just stuck the amp and sub behind the driver seat, pointed up. Not totally sure where I want to permanently mount the amp, though.


So...

CD/MP3/WMA w/ auxilary input
HD/SAT ready (Just ran the XM unit i already had through the AUX input)

For my ipod, i just unplug the satellite radio and plug the cord into the pod.


Its not the prettiest set up, but pretty clean still.

I'm a happy dude right now.

I installed a JL Audio 8" sub in my 4Runner today. For a little sub, that thing hits pretty damn hard
