So what is the deal w/the shackle bushings? I've been researching here and PBB, and I know stock bolts and bushings are 18mm. So why do the aftermarket lift shackles have 2 thick bushings and 2 thin per shackle? Is it because they are assuming they are going in aftermarket springs?

I found another set of lift shackles (non-greasable) for $40, but they have the 3/4" bolt. I've read you can stuff them in the bushings w/a hammer or drill out the bushing to a 3/4" hole. What if my stock bushings are no good? What do you do then?

i dunno man i was wonderin the same stuff. what i did was get a pair of greasables from marlin crawler that came with bushings where i had to burn the metal sleeve out of my stock leafsprings. it's a pain but the final product is worth it. energy susp. bushings are the same way you have to burn the sleeve out. oh and i had to drill the frame a little to fit the bolt in the front leaf spring mount. hope this helps

Thanks guys. I was also looking at these bushings.

It says front on there for some reason, but I selected rear suspension. I'll have to call them to make sure, but they're probably cheaper. So unless, those $40 shackles don't come with their own bushings, I'll have to buy bushings either way? And it seem like the greasable shackles only have half of the right size bushings. THAT SUCKS!! I would've rather had greasables.

ID is .71 so just shy of .75 (3/4"), means 18mm.

just in case you need an extra part or 2. You could always just add those greasable bolts if you end up with non greasables.
