1987 toyota Xtra Cab 4x4-$1000

For Sale: 1987 Toyota Pickup Xtra Cab 4X4 in Springfield, IL
2.4 Liter 4-cyl fuel injected (22rec)
Automatic Transmission 4 speed(A340H)
Power Steering, Power Brakes, Air Conditioning ,New CD Player
Bed Liner, Aluminum alloy wheels, Newer Radial tires (<10,000 miles)
2-inch Receiver Hitch, Rear Overload Springs

The good: The cab is in good shape with very little to no rust. The only place with and issue in on the back of the cab where the bed and a camper top rubbed the paint off. The bed has the standard rust along the mid-seem of the bed sides but has been staved off by some spray on rust preventer. All other systems work fine.

Now the bad: I just replaced the transmission and transfer case in December due to a bad transmission pump/torque converter. Low and behold the reason why the torque converter went bad was because the thrust washers in the engine fell out due to a poor rebuild by the previous owner. As a result, the crank slid forward in the block disengaging and reingaging the pump numerous times which finally broke a piece of the converter sleeve off into the pump. I shimmed a new set of thrust washers and epoxied them in to the bearing recesses but this only lasted for a while. There wasnt much left of the thrust washer recess due to the crank shaft rubbing the block. The last time I started the truck it made a funny sound and I'm afraid the washers have come out again. I'm tired of dealing with this and want it gone. Anyone that wants to come pick this thing up can have it. I have the title in hand and am ready to sell. Every thing on the engine works fine, but it will probably require a new short block and I'm not willing to put any more work into this truck.

The original transfercase still works and is attached to the old non-working transmission. These will come with the truck if you want them or for sale seperately for $50. All of the solinoids were good and the speed and shift sensors are included. Pickup only please.

even on my dime?
If that t-case works decent, I'll setup the UPS call tag and everything, and have them come and pick it up from you. Let me know man...
