What is your wheel BS? tire size and lift pls

Please share your experience on rim back space.
If you have pic. would be nice.

I am looking for rims for my trail use 33x12.50x15 Super Swamper TSLs.
Previous rims had 4.0" BS based on my tape measure.

OEM 2nd Gen wheel is 4.75 BS, isn't it?

4.75 - 4.0" sounds reasonable, but I was told 3.75 works better with lifted truck.

I need your advice quick to decide to get rims.

Thanks.

Tak

Lift = 4.5"
Wheel BS = 3.5"
Tire size = 33x12.50"

I still have minor rubbing when full lock and fully compressed.

3.75" sounds good.

And yes, 4.75" is stock backspacing

Thanks guys.

One more thing, when compare stock rims 15x7 with 4.75 bs and 15x8 with 4.75 rims. DIfference is 1" wider ans same bs means 1" go outside (same space to inner tire housing and 1" less to fender) right?

People prefer 4.0" or 3.75" bs because wider tireswill rub inner tire housing,
fender will be higher because of the lift. Correct?

A 15x8" rim is 1" wider ( where the tire mounts) then a 15x7" rim.

And less backspacing would stick the tire out farther, more back spacing would move the wheel closer into the truck.

Alot of people go with a rim with less backspacing to clear suspension lifts ( moves the upper a-arm closer to the tire, causing rubbing with some rim/tire combo's

I wouldnt go less then 3.75, after that you run into other rubbing issues like im dealing with.

Centerline wheels 15 x 10 with 5" backspacing and 32 x 11.50 BFG AT's. Between 1" to 1 1/2" lift.

3.5 in BS on 15 x 8 steel rims
33/12.5/15 tires
4 + in lift (trailmaster style bracket lift)

3.75 in. backspacing is recommended by the manufacturers of the bracket lifts because the location of the upper ball joint is essentially moved up about 4 in. They recommend this max backspacing to insure that the tire will not contact the upper control arm. Less backspacing (3.25, 2.5, etc) is acceptable as well (it may introduce other rubbing issues).

If you are not planning on using a bracket lift, the backspacing is less of a concern.
