I don't know of anyone that's LOWERED their 4Runner. Why?? I'm not against lowering SUV's, but IMO, only a few can pull this off and look good:

1) Denali
2) Escalade
3) Infiniti (the big one...whatever it's called. QX or something).
4) H2

I haven't seen any others that look good with this set up. All of the above vehicles had 22+" rims, too. 4Runner does not have the lines for pulling off something like that. Yes, people DO put big rims and lower a lot of cars, but just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

You might want to head over to 4x4 Wire and do a search for lowering info by "Gadget" and/or "Ron S.". It was a long time ago (pre-Yotatech) but I seem to remember those were the guys that were more focused on performance mods and I think Ron's 4Runner (now owned by Gadget of URD) was lowered 1".

An old picture, but I still get a kick out of it.
Props to my ex for the quick work with the camera.

I think it needs another inch or two of drop with some 20's. Not my style, but to each their own.

Lowering a 4runner is like finding the woman of your dreams, and then giving her a sex change.

Don't forget there's a big difference between a air bagged 4Runner and a lowered 4Runner.. anyone who air bags a 4Runner should seek mental help.
