They are built around 3x4 rectangular stock. It is the most resistant to warping, bending as well as being a strong foundation for the slider. They are built for a lifetime of abuse; whether you go heavy with mods or not.
The 3x4 rail runs the length of the 4Runner body pinch weld. It creates a flat surface for this very strong part of the body to rest on if the slider or body flexed.

Every connection of HQ's slider is triangulated, C-section welded (the outrigger supports) or boxed.
Interlocking, triangulated and lasercut supports with 50,000lb tensile strength U-bolts and all hardware.
Outrigger round tube is DOM tubing--30% harder than regular tubing to better resist dents and gouges.
Outrigger supports are lasercut for perfect fit and geometry. They also hold a greater surface area than traditional supports for maximum strength and reinforcement of the round bar.
