I just installed some OME rear springs. The rear end is sitting way too high and my shackle angle is no good. The shackle actually points forward when the suspension droops. I want the truck to sit lower so I redrilled the shackle at the stock length and the shackle angle is even worse. Will these springs flatten out a bunch as they settle? They are giving me about 3" of lift right now. Any ideas on getting this thing to sit lower in back? I have ball joint spacers for the front, but I don't want to lift it as much as it's going to take to level it out. The first pic shows it drooped, and the second shows it with weight on it.

 

I'd give it a little bit... see how they settle. You could add some weight in the bed and drive it around to accelerate the process.

To alter the shackle angle, you'll need to move the mount itself, or weld on a new one.

I guess you could weld one just in front of stock and see what that does for your angle. Wouldn't hurt anything... but I'd still wait to see what your springs do first.

 

They should settle in, though the angle on the back shackles of yours are pretty troublesome. I did same install, looked similar till I bounced it abit. However, overall the backed is not "too high" it's that the front hasn't lifted the same amount (no BJS, etc?)

and shackle are suppost to point forwards at full droop, that means you have more articulation, wich is a good thing

 

Were you using a stock length shackle? (3.5")
