steering leak with smoke?!

So here is the run down. 90 4runner with the 3.0 The steering fluid reservoir goes dry within minutes of filling it and every time I fill the thing white smoke starts pouring out of my tail pipe.. kind of like when you get water in your engine.

I don't see it leaking anywhere its almost as if the fluid gets sucked into the engine.. anyone have any ideas?

I know exactly where its going. We had one doing the same thing. There is a idle up valve attached to the bottom of the pump that has 2 vac lines going to it. It raises the idle of the eng when you turn the wheel at idle. The valve has gone bad inside and allowing fluid to be sucked into the eng via those vac lines. replace the valve and your problem will be solved

Take it off and plug it w/ matching bolt and RTV .. cap the vac lines on the plenum. you dont need this valve IMO.

ok, found it. Here is a pic for anyone else that mayrun into this problem later down the road.

I'm going to try capping it off for now and I can always change it later on if I need to.
