Speakers in Rear of 4runner

OK, I have a 1995 4runner. My question is, I think ther is speakers in my rear pannels of the rig, but not sure. I would have to take the pannels off to be sure. Does anyoner no if this rig came with speakers or not. As of now, ther is no sound to them if there is any. Any help please.

I also want to no if any one ever has taken thease pannels off as they seem to be a job.

yes, in the front of your rig you can fit 4'' speakers if you cut out a little bit.
in the back two sides you have two speakers one on either side and can fit 6.5'' speakers. there are two tweeters up above as well.

Also- can you fit 6x9's (custom) in the rear? Has anyone ever done that? I want a touch of bass but don't want to kill cargo space with speaker boxes.

If you mean is there a premium sound option subwoofer in the cargo area,I don't think they offered that the way that explorers came w/ a jbl sub in the rear.I have outfitted a 97runner w/2 10's in a truck box behind the rear seat ,didn't use too much of the space up.I hid the 2 amps under the panel on the passenger side of the cargo area. a little theft deterent.out of sight out of mind.I used 2 fans for the heat control
