Clutch Hydraulic System, NEED HELP...

Hi,
I have been experiencing for some time now being at a red light and my clutch system bleeding off and stalling the engine. I then have to pull the pedal off the floor and away I go for some time, can be several days or a week. I decided to put a new slave cylinder on today that I purchased at NAPA, it is the exact same as I took off, Aisen. I performed a thorough bleeding process of having my son depress the pedal as I opened up the bleeder valve. I also while opening the bleeder pushed the slave piston all the way in to escape any trapped air, I feel like all the air is out. Now the strange part, what was happening every few days of the system bleeding off, it now occurs before I can get out of my garage, every time I lift the pedal and depress it leaks off. Please help...

Sounds like the master cylinder to me. Have you looked to see if it is leaking? Is it losing any fluid?

The master cylinder can bypass without operating or leaking as well. I would look into that.

No fluid leaking anywhere. I am just very puzzled as to why a new slave has so exagerated my problem. Thanks...

The new slave had more back pressure than the old one, thus the final straw.
I am confused.....you pull the pedal off the floor?? Does your clutch pedal spring not work? I don`t have a standard so I am lost.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think my clutch pedal spring is fine, it seems to require fluid pressure for it to return to the top position. I am going to purchase a master cylinder tomorrow and cross my fingers.

yea weather you have a good spring or not wont make a difference, if there is a leak in the hydraulic lines the pedal will litteraly get sucked down to the floor when you start to press it. It will do this if the slave cylinder or the master cylinder has a bad seal or if the bleeder valve is left open. In your case i bet its the master cylinder, they seem to fail much more often.
