Modified hitch w/285 spare on 4Runner?

I been looking into getting a hitch for my 4Runner for a while now and what I have been reading is that either I have to take the spare out to make it fit or modify the hitch to make it fit with the spare. My question is which hitch did you use if you are running a 285 spare on your 4Runner and how did you have to modify it? Pics if possible.......Thanks!!!

Let the air out. Get a CO2 system or on board air. You could always use a hitch mounted spare tire carrier. Just some thoughts. I run 255x75x17's on my '04.

Is that with the factory hitch? I have no air right now in the spare so it don't hit the panhard bar and the tire touches the bumper with the factory indentation. What hitch should I use?

There are 2 hitches. The way mine is setup I would be able to do it. Do you have a picture of your hitch?

I have my 285 mounted in there filled up. Its tight but it fits. I have a stock hitch from 97... its a 3 piece hitch. I've noticed some of the later 4Runners have what looks like a 1 piece hitch, and I have no idea if the dimensions are the same.

On the subject of hitches - the 3 piece center section can be flipped upside down to gain a couple inches of clearance at the rear. Can't do that with the one piece.
