WTB - 86-95 truck or 1st gen runner

I'm finally giving up on the battle with rust on my rig.

I want an IFS pretaco truck or first gen 'runner to swap everything out of mine into. In order of preference, turbo, V6, 22RE.

I will be building it as a LT truck and probably swapping in a 3.4 (unless it's a turbo), so it doesn't matter if it runs, just need a frame and body (fenders and bedsides will be 'glass, so some minor damage there is OK) in GREAT shape.

While I'm ready today, I'm in no hurry, can wait for the perfect truck at the right price.

you're steering clear of another 2nd gen so you can run a glass rear eh? i love my 4runner and i love the space, but i wish i had the rear glass option.....

Troy, you should be looking at AZ craigslist. That is the place to get a good truck. It is practically GUARANTEED to be rust free. And, its not a bad drive to get it up here.

Sounds fun man!

Yes, glass is driving my decision, but not the fiberglass - the actual glass. Makes the rear expensive and topheavy.

That first one is certainly in the right price range ... wonder what it would cost to get it up here ...

Still looking ... if you got a pre-95 4WD extended cab, manual transmission, with a blown motor and no rust, let me know!
