How hard is to change T-stat?

Guys, trying to fix old problem with overcooling. Any of you gurus. How hard is to change T-stat on v6? Thanks for all your help.

Easy to do. The thermostat is behind the upper radiator hose neck. Unbolt that neck, and pull out the thermostat and put a new one in. Bolt it back up and top off the radiator. Done.

IIRC it's at the top of the lower rad hose. 3 nuts and you're done.

Gotta drain the coolant first, but it's at the block end of the hose....and it's easy.

Yeah your right... haven't changed mine since... 2002? It sure has been a while.

Just be sure to use a Toyota OE thermostat (probably around $15) and a new gasket.
