I have a 2001 4WD 4Runner and picked up front OEM shocks The part number on the outside of the box is 4851039585 which seems correct if I look it up on Toyotas part sites. The actual shock says 4851035100 which does not show up in a parts search. I need to make sure I have the correct shock before I start tearing springs out . I am hoping that the 39585 is their part number for the shock and bumper assembly which would include 35100.Any help is appreciated.

 

Toyota has changed numerous part numbers which can be very frustrating when ordering things online. Best way to find out is to call a reputable dealership and give them both parts numbers.

I called Toyota and they said that the number on the shock is correct and probably a part number for Japan
