I was installing LED map/dome lights and burnt the fuse for em, went and swapped that and my lights are back, but now my VSC/ABS lights are on, and the truck won't shift into gear it's locked out....

Any ideas? I checked every small fuse i have, none are blown, the only ones i don't know how to check are those big square ones, i can't even figure out how to pull them out.....

 

dang, thats a tough one. Keep in mind I own an 82 and warning lights are something I am not used to.

Try Pulling the - battery cable for around 5 minutes. Reconnect it and see if the lights are off. I think that will reset the computer.

 

no change.... left it for like 20 minutes.

 

I don't have my FSM with me, but isn't the shift lever locking mechanism released when the brake is pressed? Do your brake lights work when you press the pedal? If not, start there. Get the codes pulled to see if that will tell you anything.
