22re conversion from 3.0
I know this is kind of goes against the grain here, but has anyone converted a 3.0 slow to an even slower 22re in a 4runner? If so, can you tell me how it went and what you did?
I happen to feel that the 22re is a much more reliable motor than the 3.0

Ok, here's the deal. I have a 96, good running vehicle. I have access to an 88 for a winter beater with blown head gaskets, I can get it for 500, everything else works, so i also have access to a 22re fairly cheap and was thinking on swapping it out. But, if the supra motor is cheap and easy I would consider it.

3.slow to 22re conversion
I have done this on my 93 4runner.Had to use different drivelines than stock.Front to short rear to long.Have to use 22re truck tranny crossmember under w56 tranny.W56 is longer than R150.Only wiring issue I have run into so far is V-6 has a different plug behind computer that deals with fuel pump, gauges, and dont know what else yet.Not done.Have to cut plug off 3.0 harness from motor and find out what goes where.Motor mounts had to be cut off frame and new ones mounted approx. 2 inches further forward.AC compressor pulley doesnt line up need 22re compressor and lines.power steering has different setup as well need to modify.
