Just got here. My first Toy.
1991
2.4L EFI
5 spd
4wd
long bed deluxe
the engine was rebuilt about 2k ago
the clutch was also replaced at the same time.
It belonged to my cousin and he was NOT good to it.
I am not sure of everything that happened, but I do know that at one point, he hydroplaned into a barrier and the pole in front of it!
I have a long list of things I am gonna have to do to make it road worthy so stay tuned for progress pictures!
I am open to suggestions/criticism. like I said, I am new to these but I am excited to get it back to the awesome machine I know it can be.

good luck finding an intact longbed. they are pretty rare.
and for a beater, I found a truck that had it a little worse off than yours...

Welcome to YotaTech and the world of Toyota 4x4's. They are great trucks and I look forward to seeing the progress of your truck!

Welcome to the family... I see you got aisin manual hubs that's a plus...
looks like you need a new fender and box side at least... if you want to go fibreglass check toyotafibreglass.com they are a shop up the road in BC Canada (relatively close to you) they have some excellent fibreglass body parts at good prices, on the other hand you can get metal parts at resonable prices also these days... congrats on your purchase...

Thanks guys. I am really stoked bout this beast. I know the body is pretty rough but like I said, it has a newly rebuilt engine and a new clutch.
I cant wait to tear into this thing.
I am glad to know it has some good qualities
would someone mind explaining to an ultra noob why it is better to have the aisin hubs? would be nice to know for future reference.
Here is a pic of the other side, not much better shape I am afraid!

AISIN's
aisin's are just THE strongest hubs you can get for your toyota...warn and all them others are supposedly ...so dont swap them out....i wish my 20r was rebuilt...damn that would NICE...lol...the body is pretty ruff...but..u should be fine..just replace the panels..and it will look brand spankin new right off the lot..(hopefully)..and get some new rims and ditch the stockers...

Thanks for the info, good to know!
I am planning on getting new fenders and hood right off and then starting the search for a long bed, that is what I am figuring will be the hardest to find since the others should be interchangeable with a 'runner.
I agree about the rims,I already have some brushed aluminum mags that will go on it as soon as I put some decent tires on them!
I may end up with a fiber bed but I would prefer to get a steel one.
I also need to replace the seats, they are too saggy.
definitely a project but I can't wait!

wow, rarely ever see those in a longbed, awesome find
Also, should you ever have to part that out let me know, i have a friend desperately in need of a driveshaft for a longbed of that year.
