winter is here so for those of who had to get new tires(like me) lets see them

33x12.50x15 BFG MT'S and they are awsome in the snow

 

Dont have them mounted yet but I have the same tires just aching to get up in the mountains.

 

trust me you'll love them, they are quite easy to break lose in the rian...but i have locker...like i said they do great in the snow

definately not a good idea IMO... if you sipe offroad ties liek that with big lugs and actually USE them offroad you will tear out huge chunks on the rocks...

 

That's why you're supposed to sipe just the middle part. Ask 4crawler.

LTrunner, what gear ratio do you have? I noticed you got the auto and the 3.slow on those 33s.... Nice truck BTW.

i got stock 4:10s and it sucks with the auto but come tax return money she's gettin a 5spd,marlin clutch,gear t-case with 4.7s,and a budbuilt cross member
but im lovin these tires,

OMG. Wow, you are a brave man lol. I was gona do 33s but couldn't bare to mount them on my truck without regearing. I'm gona either keep the 4:10s and downsize to 31s or go with a 4:30 when I do the e-locker. You better deduct some 4:88s from that tax refund lol.

 

I wish my lockrite would show up! USPS is so damn slow.

If you sip 'em correctly and really know how to drive off road (even in the big stuff where we play here in southern Arizona) and the vehicle is setup correctly they'll do fine.
I've sip'ed my tires for years and we run some of the toughest trails around in the SW and I haven't chunked 'em up at all.
That's for the muppets that try to use wheel spin, axle hopping, etc., to get up and over obstacles.

Have you guys seen the new BFG mud Km2 tires? There like the muds and krawler put together. Pretty cool tire.

 

My baja claws i have on right now pull through the snow pretty well, i have made the furthest tracks everytime i go up, i like hitting untouched snow

 

Claws are about one of the absolute worse tires, at least for around here.
They aren't any good on rocks, they aren't any good on pavement, and they're absolutely horrid on wet or icy pavement.
No lateral traction at all.
A few years ago several people had 'em now no one runs them at all.

They are awsome for my neck of the woods. I agree they suck on icy pavement. And they are unreal in the snow untill i have to reverse and yeah i do alot of drifting and fishtails untill i hit he fresh powder where my a$$ cant wander so much. the only thing they have extremely dissapointed me was in sand. If you have claws do not go in sand, atleast in my rig. I would never buy them again however.

 

Yeah thats why there are Crawler teams that run them. AZ being a big stomping ground for the xrra.
