cold starting and motor storage and pd

1..ok heres the skinny. My 4runner doesnt want to start in the mornings when its cold.. my old 4runner that 2 deer ran into the side of is around the side of my car... My old 4runner has no ac and a bunch of stuff taken out so getting at the cold start injector thermo switch was easy... Now my current 4runner the one with the starting problem has ac and some stuff in the way that i can quite get at the sensor.... has anyone had luck with a really deep socket?? cause if you have ill probably go get one tommorow... i also took off the cold start injector i figure my old truck ran great in the snow so ill just swap them both....

2..also what would be the best way to save my engine and tranny and everything from my 4runner?? would i be better off selling it as a package?? i would like to keep them incase i every need a engine or tranny as this is my 3rd 4runner and my next car is gonna be another gen 1 or 2....
should i drain all the fluids?? can i leave it in the car?? should i just starting tearing into her and labeling peices in bags?

3. ok i found a door for my 4runner same colour... the wiring harness was cut.... me being the retard i am i cut mine and then soldered them together under my dash and in the door.. used shrink wrap everything... now the only hitch was there was 2 red w yellow trace blue dot wires actually 3 but one was fatter.. ok hooked it up both ways and nothing... well my power doors work and my rear gate window works but when i push the windows off unlock i get a BEEEP and a short cause my batter gauge gets sucked down..
so i figure its probably easiest and best to buy a new harness from a junkyard.. im not having anyluck i solder wires for a living and they are all good... one thing i did notice was the junk hard windows wiring was melted in one spot i cut out... so maybe its melted in another part???? so when i hook up then new harness does it just hook under the dash?? when all the connections in the door??? or are there more than one harness in the car?
