What did i do or am i just paranoid coolint issue

ok so heres the deal i have been woking on this truck for aabout a month and a half. started with i needed to ge the injectors cleaned. so i took it apart and got that done when i put it back together i had fuel leaks. after i took care of those then my radiator had a leak. now there's a new radiator in there. ok so i was letting it warm up and noticed water dripping out of the exaugst figgerd no bigge just condensation it's in the 50s outside right now so the coolent level in the radiator isent moving and there white smoke coming out the top of the radiator but it smells like coolent the exaugst dosen't smell sweet. the other thing i noticed is the top of the radiator is hot but the bottom is cold i turned the heat on and it was blowing hot air the temp gauge was dead center.
the oil looks like oil i don't know what else to say
also the idil was all over the place. is my t stat not opening, my water pump not working or is there just a leak in my intake gasket / head gasket

I need my truck back people are getting feed up with me barrowing autos Help

my biggest problem is i have no time to work on it when i get home from work i can ether go right to the part store or work on my truck for an hour or two weekends are my only chance to have time to wrench

Thanks to all on this forum this is the only reisen i haven't gotten way to far in debt to buy something new

I feel like a idiot right now

The water pump is working or the heater wouldn't work. The t-stat isn't open if the lower radiator hose is cold. The 22re has a bad heater hose design that will close the t-stat in cold weather if the heater is on. There is a special t-stat avaliable that will fix that problem, look here:

I don't know about the smoke out of the radiator problem, unless you have a bad head gasket.

Normal for a closed t-stat but a closed t-stat is not normal for an engine thats overheating unless you don't have that updated t-stat in the link I posted above. Does that make sense?

It's a pressurized system. With the cap off you will never know. Put it on. If all is well.....then all is well.

Make sure you run it long enough for the t-stat to open.

MMMM...Arby's....MMMM

go for a test drive, see if it works OK. If there is coolant spilled on the radiator it will have to get driven around before it all evaporates and it stops steaming.

I'm betting on paranoia here, but the only way to find out is drive it.

Just keep an eye on it while you do.
