How did you guys get the battery to fusible link attached? I can't get either of the 2 screws in the fusebox to come unscrew. I first couldn't budge it, then I hit it w/some PB blaster and let it sit overnight. Now I'm just spinning the nut on the other side. Ideas?

 

What vehicle are we talking about ?
Go into your User CP (control panel , link on top bar of page) and put the year make and model of your truck in your Signature and it will be posted with every message

So you've already got the plastic case off the fuse holder right?

I can't find anything on assy/dis-assy of fuse block in the FSM and I havn't done one on my trk or a Yota yet so I can't help , Goat can probably either help you or steer you in the right direction

 

I had it like in the picture. I was trying to unscrew those screws, but couldn't do it. Am I missing a step?

 

Hmmm...that looks different than the 93 I took apart. Is there no way to get to the nut back behind?

 

None that I can tell. The nut is encased by the plastic, meaning I don't believe its supposed to move. Nor is there any space to get a wrench in there. It looks like, to me at least, that you should be able to just unscrew the screws and the nut would stay put. However, because they are torqued down w/like 200ft/lbs, I just started spinning the nut w/in the plastic.

 

If not try a old style impact wrench - the old timey type you can hit it with a small hammer or get a long screw driver for more torque.

 

Oh , then you will have to break it up so you can get a grip on them or maybe shove a flat head in there and try to bind the nut so you can break loose
