i want to get better travel out of my 94 toyota xtra cab but limited on money I alrady decided on a BJ spacer for the front but not sure bout the rear, I have heard of ppl running 63" chevies or F150 rear leaves, I want to go no higher than 2.5"-3" of lift and want to get the best for my buck and keep factory ride quality or better this is also my DD so I dont want to altter it to much and any imput is much appreciated!!

 

right now she is sittng on 1" lift up front (t-bars tweaked) and a 2" block in the rear to sit level

 

take the block out and throw some 63" chevys on there....

Did you read through the link I posted? Your question regarding how much lift you will get is found in the middle of the first post.

 

That 2-3" lift will not be enough for long. I waited a while, and did that. I was running the bj spacers with 1.5" rear lift shackles and 1.5" AAL's and no look what happened to my rig:

At least I never wasted my money on an IFS lift kit.

 

yeah I read it but I also talked to some other guys and im just seeing what others say form experience

 

thats the plan for now ill evntually do an SAS but for now Im doing the BJ spacer and 63" chevy rear springs so that I get a good start...

Thanks. It has come a long way and I have spent a lot of time building it up. I have a 98 Tacoma 2RZ engine, 87 turbo tranny, and Marlin Crawler Dual Ultimate setup waiting to go in.

so I ordered my BJ spacer yesterday and am looking about doing a diff drop as well to correct my CV angle...can I just use some washers and new bolts or do I have to get an actual kit?

 

chevies are a big task... why not an add a leaf for new leaft pack. I am sure you have some sag with all the miles on them

 

but add a leafs take away flex and thats what I want and and no one makes a good bolt on kit

 

Just seems like a lot of work for under 3inches of lift. Seems like the add a leaf with new springs and a shackle lift would get better flex than the blocks you are running

 

yeah I considerd it and im gonna eventually go SA...when money/time/space (aka life) allows it so start now why I can and slowly work toward it ..why do it twice

 

OME makes some nice springs, they aren't going to flex like chevies, marlins, allpros but that is just because they are short springs.

 

You could always get some of the 56" long rear springs from Marlin, All Pro, Trail Gear, etc. You just have to weld on some new front spring hangers forward of the original ones.

 

but Im trying to go cheap is the thing... and I have to weld new hangers for the 63" chevies any ways
