Factory suspension, 31 10.50's?

I've done enough searching to know 31 10.50s fit without a lift, but no good pics of fitment. Do you have to crank the torsion bars to get them to fit good or are they doable at factory height? It's an 88 4x4 PU.

31x10.50's came stock on alot of our trucks, heck mine did

You can fit a 33x10.50 with no lift and MINOR trimming.

Some pics here. The before pic and the clean, shiny pic were with 31's and no mods.

supposedly you can fit 35x10.5's with minor, if any, trimming so 31's will fit on a stock truck just fine.

Guys - he has an '88. The wheelwells are smaller than the '89-95 truck. 31's will fit NO problem, 33x10.50's might require a little work.

Your username cracks me up.....good one.

I see 31's on Yota's like yours all the time. You'll like 'em. Fills up the wheel wells real nice without killing your mileage.

Oh, and even if you have 6" rims the backspacing won't be a problem. They don't look like 6'ers, but it's hard to tell.

31x10.50 fits with ZERO trimming, or banging or anything. They fit on 6" wide wheels just fine, and the backspacing is fine. They do not rub at all, even off road. Unless you have the sag in the rear....they might then, but I doubt it. I'll find out soon, now that I have sag again.

Sag no affect anything. Bumpstops!

Bob...how is it that you have sag "again"? (I'm working on a theory, here.)

Go to a tire shop and have them check, or find out when you get your tires changed...even though it's moot. They'll have a big caliper type gauge to measure it. Unless they have a chicken....(you'd have to listen to Zappa to understand that one.)

Since nobody actually posted pics... Here ya go. Totally stock with bad rear sag, 31x10.50s on 15x7 wheels:

And with rear sag fixed, slight t-bar crank, and body damage

Never any rubbing.. Getting ready to go to 33x10.50s and still not going to lift.

AAL broke on one side, so I had to remove both, and now it's back down to the sag height again. I feel like I'm looking up at the sky when driving now. IT SUCKS.

I've always heard that 31's fit first gen 4runners without a problem. I believed it until I went wheeling this weekend. On a obstical one of my BFG AT's on stock 3rd gen 4runner wheels rubbed against the back part of the wheel well when fully stuffed. It isn't that bad, I'll probably just shim the bumpstop a little.
