The upper part of my intake tube craked and fell apart around the TB today... i managed to patch it with a rubber horse and some sealant... well aty least enough to make the truck run im sure it still sucking in some air... but well i figured this would be the time to do an ISR mod

I just want to know whats the easiest thing to replace the intake tube with? like andthing I can buy at homedepot with out having to have a piece of exhaust tubing bent for me? and also what is the best way to go about the fittings? should i leave the closest line to the TB off as it seems to just dump dirty air back into my intake?

 

I found a 3" 45 degree pre-bent exhaust tube worked awesome from napa! I did not put any of the old fittings back on, just put a filter on the PCV vent.

 

ok... and if it doesnt fit im senting you the bill... which how much was it anyways?

 

Mine cracked at one of the rolls in the mold where it bends and cause very bad bucking (whooop whooop) problem whaen I accelerated and the engine torqed and opened the crack up sucking air , couldn't see it very easy until I removed it and then I could see where it split , I bought a new one from the Dealer for $40 and replaced and that way get to keep my positive crankcase venting working properly .

 

MRecio...run a search on ISR mod. There's several threads with what others have used and what has worked. I got some 45deg angled schedule 80 PVC for mine. Fit just fine. There's other options, though.

 

I did mine with 3" exhaust pipe cost me $3 at a local muffler shop. My problem was finding nuts to fit pipe thread.
