I have replace the CSTS, sensor through the water-by-pass, and still no power to the CSi, but if I connect it striaght through the battery it will engage to make a clicking noise and will only start that way when it is cold or first initial start of the day. ANy idea why there is no power to the CSi? Does the temp. sensor have to do with it also?

 

The CSI is ground switched, and only works when cranking over. its controlled by the CSI Time switch.

You can bypass the CSI Time switch, Ground the CSI with a toggle in cab to ground. When you get out to start your truck and see your breath, flick the toggle switch and away you go.

 

Hey, I've used that "see your breath" trick a lot! It's the best barometer for knowing when to not bother and just go back to bed.

 

Doesn't work so well up here in the Great White North, we'd be going back to bed a lot

Then again maybe that's not so bad after all

Ok never mine the lack of power to the CSI, was testing it w/ a meter that only read about .080 or 0.80, seem that it doesn't give enough power to the CSI so I by pass it and working like a charm, got some picture for it also...


Bought a Bosch Fuel Injector Repair Socket and stick it in there and fit perfectly, my $150 CSI...


All connected.


The switch that will make it turn on and off.


Boo... the engine.

Now that it will start every morning without worrying about toasting the starter to its death, and gotta love them Denso starter though...

 

And just think of all the money you'd be saving on petrol....

So, I guess the wiring was bad somewhere, then?

 

I don't know, I'll check the plug that goes to the ECU maybe I yank it to hard and might of pull the pin out a bit.
