So I got this plate for the 89-95 toyota v6 transmission to gear driven case all ready to go, but no instructions in the box, does this seal go in the back of the tranny or in the adapter plate? I am insalling a crawl box with 23 spline input shaft from trail gear if it matters. If it goes in the plate which way does the spring sit? Towards the case or towards the tranny? It looks like it goes in the plate but has to sit recessed pretty far to do any kind of sealing, I am afraid it will fall out if I put it in like that.
