Smile skid plate taco

so a few weeks ago i was getting some mulch in this lot they just cleared out to put a house in. to get back there i would have to drive over some very soft ground atleast that is all i thought it was. just to make sure i put it into 4wd and took my time. so on trip number 6 i was heading in and i got swallowed whole. to paint a picture you couldn't see my passenger side tires and couldn't open the door. pretty impresive i though i wasn't even trying to get stuck. so i call my friend to pull me out. when i got unstuck i looked under my truck and there was a small log about 6-8in. dia. wedged between my front cross member and the rack part of the rack and pinion steering and my rear skid plate (my truck has two one in front and one that is butted up against it) was bent around like a huge bent skid plate taco. i had to put a strap around it and had to snatch it out with my friends truck i could't pull it out with my hands. so when i got home i took off the skid plate and tried getting it flat again but now all the bolt whole don't line up at all. i spent all day under my truck trying to get this back on. a have access to a lift in a few days and try again it should be a lot easier to work on then.

any tips or suggestions would be more then helpful. or a replacement sorry for the long read. i have access to almost every tool under the sun and know how to use them. maybe i should just make a new one? i hope being able to stand under the truck will help it should be better then laying under it. please help

Once the factory skid (tin foil) gets that deformed, most guys just throw them away.

If you have the cash www.Budbuilt.com and www.skidplates.com both have replacements.

Do you not have access to a wrecking/salvage yard near you? I would think you could probably find one there. Maybe you can find someone who's upgrading to give you theirs. I just threw mine out when I got my Bud Built.
