um anybody know what this is
ok so looking over all my wiring i found this connector packed with mud and traced it to this thing in the front of my ifs i wasn't plugged in to anything on the other end and hasn't been for a wile. so my questions are 1 what is it? 2 is it important? 3 where should it plug in?

Thanks

Yep, that sends the signal from the ADD actuator to the dash light that the ADD has been locked into 4WD. IIRC the other end should be plugged in up around the oil filter but I could be wrong on that. Other than the 4wd dash light everything should work ok with it unplugged.
There's some mention of it here:

Mine came apart years ago - the locking tab broke off. I just put the plugs back together, and then I ran a small zip tie around both of them, between the wires on each side, to cinch it together. It has never been a problem, since.
