I tried Sea Foam Motor treatment today

Very easy to do.

I put some in the intake and crankase (half and half)

Motor was much quieter afterward.

Recommended!

Inexpensive and safe.

This Is How I Did Mine 3.old (v6)

1. There are two ways of putting SEA FOAM into the intake manifold. See hose #1 and #2 (PVC) in pics.

2. I used hose #1 which is connected from the brake booster (I think that's the term) to the intake manifold. You can pour the SEA FOAM from the brake booster end, however, I chose a different method. I disconnected hose#1 at the intake manifold end and used an extra hose (#3) of similar size that I had laying aound and clamped it down to the manifold and in the original place of hose(#1). Hose (#3) now acted like a funnel. I then used a bottle cap (#4) to cover the opening end of hose (#3) so that the engine would not die when I started the vehicle. This was the sequence:

A. I started the engine and warmed it up

B. Removed the bottle cap(#4)

C. Poured 1/2 bottle of SEA FORM down the hose (#3){***YOUR ENGINE WILL START TO STALL BUT DON'T LET IT DIE BY MANAGING THE AMOUNT OF SEA FORM BEING POURED IN***THERE WILL BE SMOKE EVERYWHERE BUT DON'T PANIC AND CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT***}

D. Shut off the engine and let it sat for 10 minutes. While I let it sat for 10 minutes, I removed hose (# 3) and plugged back the original hose (#1) into the manifold. I then poured the rest of the SEA FORM into the crank case via the way one would pour oil into the engine.

E. Once 10 minutes was up, I started the vehicle and drove and drove and drove until there was no more smoke coming out of the exhaust.

The engine sounded so quiet so I took the advice of TOYOTATOM93(below)and bought myself another bottle for the fuel tank.

Awesome!

Ya I got nothing but good things to say about it, and I am going to do my dads corolla this weekend, hopefully the smoke will freak him out.

You should do another treatment and put some in the gas tank as well. I found after my second treatment about 3 days later it smoked even more carbon out.

What hose did you use for the intake? Or did you use a hose?

The crankcase is easy enough, I'll just dump it in the oil fill on the valve cover

BTW, do you have a 22RE or 3VZE?

Sea Foam right?

Just be sure you don't pour it in so fast you hydrolock the engine... I held my thumb over the PCV hose and cracked it open and just poured a small stream in front of it and it sucked it in.

It worked about as well as a bottle of STP gas treatment.

I wanna try this stuff out, but I'm kinda paranoid. I've heard it can gunk up your spark plugs and stuff

Nothing yet. Just quieter and smoother and better performance. My 3.OLD is more like 3.GO now.

I believe he said hyrdoLOCK (not block) and its SeaFOAM not SeaFORM

However, since you are Canadian, we understand.

I have read not to drive around too long with the sea foam in the crank case. Can anyone else vouch for that?
