my 80 build up

I wanted to start a thread at the beginning of my build but i didn't have time.
I started with a 1980 toyota 4x4 with the 20r and 4 speed tranny. I used a 88 4runner for a doner vic. The 5 speed tranny and transfer case bolted right in. i used the rear drive shaft from the 4runner because the w56 was i think 4 inches longer. the front drive shaft from the 4runner worked also. I used new flanges from trail gear and also 14'' shock hoops, ubolt flip kit front and rear, trail armor. and 5'' front shackles with my procomp 3'' springs. Aussie lockers front and rear.
I havent put hi steer in yet but i had to flip the ball on the steering arm. it works good. I have a lot of pics and i am trying to post them, when i figure it out, i will post them.

Also looking to see more of your build, always great to see more 1st Gen stuff...
As far as your pictures, try a free service like http://photobucket.com/ It is prettty easy, set up the free account, up load your pictures and than copy the IMG code under your picture and paste it into your post...works great.

I hope it works for me, it took me hours to get that ball out. im sanding the paint down tonight, i tried the first paint job at 2am and it did not turn out. Im going with square tubing for my front drive shaft later this week.

Man, that rear axle looks nice.

Keep up the good work. It's going to be a very nice rig once you're done.
